With the rapid advancement of science and technology and the popularization of the Internet, the model of foreign trade is also constantly innovating. The rise of e-commerce platforms has provided foreign trade companies with a broader market space, reduced transaction costs, and improved transaction efficiency. However, at the same time, it also faces many challenges such as trade protectionism and exchange rate fluctuations.

The rise of trade protectionism has caused certain obstacles to my country's foreign trade. Some countries have restricted the export of my country's products by imposing tariffs and setting up trade barriers. This has not only affected the profits of my country's foreign trade enterprises, but also had an adverse impact on the development of related industries. But from another perspective, this has also prompted my country's foreign trade enterprises to increase R&D investment and improve the added value and competitiveness of their products to cope with external challenges.

Exchange rate fluctuations are also a factor that cannot be ignored in foreign trade. The appreciation or depreciation of the RMB exchange rate will directly affect the income and expenditure of foreign trade companies. When the RMB appreciates, the price of export products will rise relatively, which may lead to a decline in competitiveness; and when the RMB depreciates, although it is beneficial to exports, it may also increase import costs. Therefore, foreign trade companies need to pay close attention to exchange rate trends and take effective risk management measures, such as using foreign exchange hedging tools.

While facing various challenges, my country's foreign trade has also ushered in new opportunities. The promotion of the "Belt and Road" initiative has built a broad platform for trade cooperation among countries along the route. By strengthening infrastructure construction and promoting trade liberalization and facilitation, my country's trade with countries along the route has become increasingly frequent and the scale of trade has continued to expand. In addition, the rise of emerging markets has also provided new growth points for my country's foreign trade enterprises. With the rapid economic development of some developing countries, the demand for various goods and services has continued to increase, creating favorable conditions for my country's foreign trade enterprises to open up markets.

For foreign trade enterprises, to seize these opportunities and achieve sustainable development, they need to continuously enhance their core competitiveness. On the one hand, they need to strengthen technological innovation, improve product quality and added value, and create brands with independent intellectual property rights; on the other hand, they need to optimize marketing strategies, expand sales channels, and increase market share. At the same time, they should also strengthen cooperation with upstream and downstream enterprises to form a synergistic effect of the industrial chain, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.

In the future development, my country's foreign trade is expected to continue to maintain a growth trend. However, to achieve this goal, the government, enterprises and all sectors of society need to work together. The government should further improve relevant policies and regulations to create a good business environment; enterprises should continue to innovate and improve their own strength; all sectors of society should also give support and attention to jointly promote the prosperity and development of my country's foreign trade.
