secondly, the convenience of railways makes more people choose to travel by high-speed rail. the high-speed rail network continues to expand, shortening the distance between cities, allowing people to reach their destinations easily and quickly, and changing people's travel patterns and living habits. for example, the shanghai-suzhou-tongren railway opened in 2020 has finally provided a direct high-speed rail between shanghai and yangzhou, compressing the travel time to more than one and a half hours.
finally, the development of high-speed rail has also brought about a wave of social change. with the popularization of high-speed rail, people's demand for inter-city travel continues to increase, and a new urban tourism culture is gradually formed.
