Deputy Section Level, the Starting Point of Life
For Wang Hao, the position of "Deputy Section-level Cadre" symbolizes a breakthrough in life.
"There is a big difference between civil servants and public institutions," Professor Yang Hua once said. "Civil servants are the highest group in the grassroots system, with high political status and good economic benefits. In theory, they can be promoted all the way up." He added, "Although public institutions can be promoted to deputy section chief at the county level, the number of positions is very small, which limits the room for promotion."
Wang Hao's heart is full of curiosity and desire. He knows very well that in the county, deputy section-level cadres are an important stepping stone to start a new career.
Township civil servants, the future path
"There are fewer township civil servants, but there are more opportunities," said Wang Hao's mentor. "Over the past decade, townships across the country have been digesting the number of staff from the 1990s. Only in the past decade or so have new civil servants been recruited. In the next few years, a large number of township cadres in leadership and ordinary positions will retire, which will bring promotion opportunities for newly admitted civil servants."
After careful consideration, Wang Hao felt that being a township civil servant was a good choice because there were relatively more leadership positions in townships and towns, and as time went on, there would be more opportunities for promotion for township civil servants.
The light of the county, the road to leadership
But Wang Hao also realized that if he wanted to go far in the county, he had to rely on his own efforts and talents.
"The two offices, the Commission for Discipline Inspection (Inspection Office), the Organization Department, the Development and Reform Commission and other units are visible to the leaders. You directly serve the main leaders at the county level, which is the main line of promotion." Professor Yang Hua suggested, "Even if you are transferred, you should always stay in the main line unit."
Wang Hao decided to take the first step and explore his career path in the county.
A new era, new opportunities
As time went by, Wang Hao continued to learn and grow, and eventually got a promotion opportunity. His leadership ability was recognized, and he gradually grew into an outstanding county leader, playing an indispensable role in the county and bringing welfare to the people.
This story tells the transformation process of Wang Hao from a deputy section-level cadre to a leader. It tells us that in career choices and career paths, we must stick to our goals, keep learning and growing, and only then can we find our own place in different times and social environments.
